Our inspiration for small groups

Acts 2:42-47

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Sunday School

Sunday school has been a church tradition for centuries. They are designed to offer extended fellowship on Sunday morning. There is a class for all ages, and each class studies a variety of subjects from God's word in order to deepen each person's faith. One can join a class based on interest and need. Sunday

LIFEGROUPS

LifeGroups are designed to go one step further to deepen your faith and fellowship.  Each group typically runs for eight weeks and they are either hosted at someone's home or will be held at the church. We try to limit the size of the groups to 12 people. This maximizes participation and transparency.  We are all part of God's family. We seek to encourage the whole body, and not just those in our small groups.

The three Life Group seasons are:
February - April
April - June
September - November

E.S.P.N. GROUPs

Ministry can often create busyness.  We designed E.S.P.N. Groups as a way to recharge and meet new people. These groups are led by the deacons and pastoral staff. These groups are less structured than LifeGroups but there is a heavy emphasis on Encouragement, Scripture, Prayer and Next Steps. With 6 people in each group, these groups typically meet for four weeks.

Small Groups are More than age and gender specific

In our culture, we often adopt the mindset that we should do life with people our own age and gender. Sure, it is wonderful to connect with people just like ourselves, but we also have so much to learn from the perspectives of those from other generations and the opposite gender! Acts 2:42-47 has no designations for male and female or adult and child. "...All who believed were together and had all things in common."
